Eusoh Community Pet Health Plan Review – Mio Review

Spread the purrs

Your cat is your fur baby. Just like a normal baby, your kitty gets into trouble. That trouble can sometimes lead to injury or illness.

While no one wants a sudden trip to the vet or emergency clinic, especially your cat, it can be inevitable.

These emergency visits can be costly, adding to your stress. There is something that can help eliminate that part of your stress.

Benefits of the product

Long before Meowmy brought home Melody and me, she had a cat named Jubilee. Jubilee was a primarily white tortoiseshell with bright blue eyes.

One day Meowmy heard a scary choking meow coming from the laundry room. Meowmy went in and saw Jubilee struggling to meow with a large blister on her throat.

Immediately Jubilee was rushed to an emergency clinic so that Jubilee could receive care from a vet. Thankfully the procedure was straightforward and took less than an hour. The only problem was the cost.

Meowmy was a child at the time, and her mother was responsible for the financial side of things. After a stressful discussion with the vet, there were plenty of complaints from her mother.

If there were another way for her mother to get reimbursed for the vet bill, less drama would have ensued.

How to use Eusoh

Eusoh is not pet insurance. It’s a community health sharing plan that reimburses you for your pet’s medical, wellness, illness, and routine care expenses. If you need extra help they are there for you.

You become part of a community care plan that shares pet care expenses. You only pay for a membership fee and care contributions (debit/credit cards also incur a small transactional fee). No hidden fees, no “network” fees – your funds go directly to pet care.

As part of Eusoh, after taking your pet to the vet and paying for your services, you submit your receipts to Eusoh. You then get reimbursed for the vet bill based on the national average pricing plus a variance to account for differences in pricing across the country.

Positive Reviews

I have 3 senior cats that passed away to cancer this year (August, September and October). One of them was my most beloved cat, Herman, who joined Eusoh in early 2019 (I had been with Eusoh since November 2018). I never expected Herman to turn into a special needs cat long before his cancer diagnosis. If it were not for Eusoh, I would be deeply in debt just with him alone. Where can you find a pet insurance that covers wellness, accident, and Illness at a very affordable price especially for seniors, and I had 7 senior cats enrolled at Eusoh at that time? And, at the same time, you are also helping other pet owners in your group with their vet expense. I am so very happy with Eusoh, and I hope that it continues to expand to help more pet owners, especially with seniors or have multiple pets in the household.

Have had nothing, but great experiences with this company. Never once had a problem with getting reimbursed. A+ company all the way. They have saved me a ton of money.

Negative Reviews

Total Scam. Bills random amounts monthly. Also when you leave (for whatever reason, they take your deposit).

Bryan R., Facebook 9/11/2020

Downplays veterinarians’ education. Misconstrues cost of care as being more expensive to insurance companies vs cash clients.

You will notice if you go to Eusoh’s Facebook page that there are mostly positive reviews. Negative reviews have all been commented on by other customers who have been happy with the company. All negative reviews have also been responded to by the companies representatives as well, showing that Eusoh truly does care about their customers.

What I like about the Product

What I like about Eusoh is that it is community-based and helps individual members with costly vet bills, and reduces the overall expenses of owning a pet. While we cats give you lots of love and purrs, we would much rather you spend your money buying us treats and catnip.

They are fully transparent with their fees, and they never raise their premiums, making Eusoh easy to fit into a budget. While my sister and I have an allowance of our own, we would rather not budget extra fees into it!

There are no networks or paperwork. making the whole process easier. It also gives it the feeling of being non-committal. Who wants a commitment to medical bills? Not me!

Eusoh partners with rescues to help them provide a discounted membership for pet parents who recently adopted. I feel this is a great way to encourage people to adopt from rescues rather than going to pet stores or breeders.

What I don’t like about Eusoh

I’m not too fond that Esuoh does not cover spaying/neutering as these are essential preventive procedures. Living in an area with many stray cats wandering around Meowmy would gladly pay extra for this kind of coverage. While spaying and neutering are one-time surgery, paying for multiple cats can be costly.

I am also not a fan of the fact that it does not cover a pet’s pre-existing conditions, which would prevent pet parents of many older animals from getting reimbursed. Because of this, those considering adopting a cat may be less likely to adopt an older cat or many special needs cats, which are those that need it most.

Eusoh also does not have an app, limiting a member to browsers when checking coverage and submitting receipts.

Final Thoughts

Don’t let yourself get caught in an emergency situation with your pet without a safety net of some sort!

Remember, Eusoh is not pet insurance. It is a community-based pet care reimbursement. Eusoh covers many needs your pet may have. However, what it covers is limited. If you are not concerned about the limitations, the affordable price point and fully transparent practices of Eusoh will be more than enough to make it worthwhile for you and your cat.
